Josh’s Photolog: Day 1

The ferry from Seattle to Bremerton begins our long journey towards San Francisco.

The rider lineup!

We curve along the Hood Canal, and find some curious sights.

Small towns, run down relics, living antiques, and quirkiness abound along the way, lending a nostalgic and carefree feeling to the journey. No hurries here, history hasn’t.

And sometimes a little sign pops up amid it all, such as a little golden elephant left at a roadside alter, reminding us of the journey.

Stretching and monkey business ensue along the way.

Farmlands replace waterside homes as we head inland and towards the coast.

The coast brings fishing towns along the rivers heading to protected bays.

Oops! We find ourselves running into nasty gravel. Sometimes a shortcut isn’t the best of ideas!

The golden sunlight in the evening is the best time to ride, and the best time to shoot!

So, why not a time for a dip! Kyle manages a swim in the icy cold bay just before the bridge to Astoria, OR.

And here go, as the sun sets, heading to cross the bridge out of Washington and into Oregon for the night around Astoria in Warrenton.
